Chris,

Thanks, does it update itself more often than just its
weekly scan?

Al

By default it will do a quick scan at the scheduled time and
it will also
check for and download/install updates before the quick
scan. On my machine
with a 2.0GHZ dual core processor and 4GB of RAM and Windows
7 64 bit it
doesn't slow down the system and probably takes about ten
minutes.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Avast to MSE

Well I am happy to report that I have successfully migrated
2 of our 3 computers to MSE. I did not have any difficulty
uninstalling Avast. I am also pleased to report that MSE did
not find any issues on either computer after its initial
scan. Avast must have been doing a good job. One question on
MSE, I see you can schedule a scan. Can the computer be used
during this time? If so, how much does it bog it down? I
remember Avast used to slow things down quite a bit.

thanks
Al
