When you say she sends it through her yahoo.com email address do you mean
that she is using yahoo web mail?

Also have you tried examining your Outlook Express security settings to make
sure that attachments are allowed in all cases? I do not use Outlook Express
myself so I cannot check this procedure for you but from memory I do know
that there is a setting in Outlook Express security settings which will
strip away at least some attachments from emails when they arrive. This
should happen irrespective of the email provider so it would be a little odd
if this is happening .

By the way I left the Wannadoo ISP in the UK when they declared they no
longer supported Outlook or Outlook Express and switched to Bt Internet as
I think this is an outrageous position for an ISP to adopt. If they are
cutting corners on support there it speaks volumes about their general
attitude and I do not want to be involved with this kind of ISP. BT Internet
has a support feature useful for users with visual impairment in that they
can , with your permission, assume remote control of your PC and work on it
directly. They actually resolved a problem with my Outlook installation in
this way. It sounds like your sister should switch to an ISP that provides
this kind of support.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Can't receive attachments

Hi All,

Under further checking we found that the attachments my sister is trying to
send are in fact reaching my providers server but, somehow between the
server and my computer the attachment is being lost. My provider does not
support Outlook Express so they can't help me. The wierd thing is that if
she sends the attachment from her Cox.net e-mail address I won't get it but,

if she sends it from her Yahoo.com e-maill address I do get it. I have been

through my settings and can't find anything wrong. She is running XP Pro &
Outlook 2002 and I'm running XP Home, Outlook Express, & Jaws 10 latest. If

anyone has any ideas on what could possibly be happening I am open to any
advice. Thanks much, take care.
Mike
