As we changed the default not to exclude all hidden files, we can expect a lot of problems concerning .gvfs Should be excluded by default and perhaps should be given some extra attention, like question box when trying to remove this pattern....
Therefore I also changed the importance to high! from bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/backintime/+bug/406092 that is at the moment dealing with another problem: Seth Remington wrote 49 minutes ago: #12 Excluding ".gvfs" actually resolved the issue for me. Before BiT I had rolled my own similar back up routine using hard links and rsync and had run into this exact same behavior. What I had discovered then was that rsync was bombing out on .gvfs (permission errors) before it finished running and before it finished deleting files (I was using --delete-during). Perhaps --exclude=.gvfs should be a default exclude (and not editable by the user). ** Changed in: backintime Importance: Medium => High -- default exclude patterns for users https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/422132 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Back In Time Team, which is subscribed to Back In Time.
