A few visitors mostly looking at the view and it was nice to see the Passerine Banders in the last hour. Weather: Wind initially moderate from N then moving to SSW in the early afternoon. Clear to start with, gradually clouding up. Hot in the early afternoon. Raptor Observations: Expected mix with again a few Broad-winged Hawks (14) appearing from the NE. Non-raptor Observations: Similar list to yesterday, but with good numbers of Cedar Waxwing. List is at https://ebird.org/checklist/S271145426 Predictions: Similar to today, warm with a moderate wind from the SW. So raptor numbers and species likely to be similar. Hoping for a few more American Kestrels and Sharp-shinned Hawks ======================================================================== Report submitted by Hugh Kent ([email protected]) Holiday Beach Hawk Watch information may be found at: http://hbmo.ca/ More site information at hawkcount.org: https://hawkcount.org/siteinfo.php?rsite=100 -- Ontbirds and Birdnews are moderated email Listservs provided by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) as a service to all birders in Ontario.
