Shorebird numbers on Gull Island this morning were low but the variety was
good. Singles of Buff-breasted Sandpiper, Stilt Sandpiper and Dunlin, plus
small numbers of Sanderling, American Golden Plover, Least, Semipalmated SP
and Semipalmated Plover.

Presqu'ile Provincial Park is south of Brighton. Follow the park road and
park at the lot marked for Owen Point Trail. Follow the trail to Owen
Point, then wade across to Gull Island. The water is knee-deep and
pleasantly cool. The island is not open on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and
Saturday due to duck hunting.
