Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 13:30:00
Total observation time: 6.5 hours

Official Counter: Sean Smith

Observers:

Visitors:
The first birders on the hawk tower coincided with the fewest birds all
holiday weekend.

Weather:
Very warm and humid. Thunderstorms bloomed quickly after noon.

Raptor Observations:
Very little movement, but the occasional harrier and kestrel flew west with
purpose.

Non-raptor Observations:
It is Bink time! Bobolinks, Cedar Waxwings and even American Goldfinches
flew west in small flocks in the early morning.

Leps-Least Skippers, Bronze Coppers, Wild Indigo/Columbine Duskywing,
Viceroy, Red Admiral and maybe 100 Monarchs.

Predictions:
Similar to today, but maybe a southwest breeze will hopefully bring a few
pre-frontal hawks.
