Hello again,

I stopped in at the Joshua Creek trail (north side of Lakeshore opposite
Arkendo Park), where things were very quiet but as I walked back to the car a
small bird flew from the fence to a bush, and there it was, a black-capped,
yellow warbler, also known as Wilson's Warbler, what a treat to see this
lingering bird. It actively fed in the leaf litter at the bottom of the fence
then flew to a sewer cover that was obviously warmed by the water - the bird
sat on it for about 30 seconds before flying back along the fence-line. This
was in the most northeasterly corner of the water treatment plant (seems to be
the habitat to be in for wintering passerines that should be far south of us).

I dipped on the Palm Warbler(s) at Sedgewick Park but another birder told me
today that there were two quite active near the small flowing stream yesterday.

Good birding,
Frank Pinilla
Richmond Hill, ON

Directions:
The area is just west of Winston Churchill on the north side of Lakeshore in
Oakville. There is a small driveway (maybe 100m west of Winston Churchill)
that leads up a hill and there is a sign/map of the Joshua Creek area. park
and walk north you'll see (and smell) the treatment plant.
