At 10:00 this morning I observed an Hudsonian Godwit at the Everett Gravel Pit.
Also present were 15 white-rumped Sandpipers, Greater and Lesser yellowlegs,
pectoral, and least sandpipers.

To get there, go west on Highway 89 from Alliston. At the 4th concession turn
right (north). Drive to the next intersection. Turn left (west) onto the 5th
concession. The pit is on the right. The best viewing is from the top of the
hill. There is just enough room to pull over on the right side of the road.
Be careful because this is at the crest of the hill. Also, early in the
morning, or late in the day there may be hunters around, judging from the spent
shotgun shells!
