Although shorebird diversity and numbers have been lower for the past week or
so (for no obvious reason -- seemingly good conditions continue) at the West
Perth Wetlands, there was a Long-billed Dowitcher at the north end of the
fenced cell late this afternoon.
Continuing were a couple of Stilt Sandpipers, as well as low numbers of
Pectorals, Leasts and Greater Yellowlegs, and many Lesser Yellowlegs.
Directions: West Perth Wetlands (a.k.a. Mitchell Sewage Lagoons) are at the
south end of Wellington Street south off Highway 8 in downtown Mitchell,
Ontario.
