Hello Ontario,

I just saw a Western (Calurus subspecies) Red-tailed Hawk where Hwy 427 crosses
Hwy 401. It was perched on a light post between the lanes of the 401 just a
hair west of this intersection. It had an all-brown front side with a tad of
white mottling. This might be a tough bird to refind as it can only really be
seen (with much caution!!) while on the 401. There are many Eastern and
Northern Red-tailed Hawks in the general area as well.
