This past January 3rd was the first ever Orono CBC. I started the circle because of the gap between the Oshawa and Port Hope/Cobourg circles. This years count was conducted by Tyler Hoar, Janice Melendez, Skip Shand and myself. A 'non-birder' friend of mine, Bradley MacArthur, joined me in the morning and kept our listing until noon. We drove about 400km and a did couple km of walking. We started at dawn and went until about 5 pm. The weather was overcast, very cold and windy in the morning and a blizzard in the afternoon.
