Brief flickers of blue peeked through the gray. Temperatures straddled
freezing. And the west wind blustered without reprieve.

Raptor Observations:
We feasted on a bountiful platter of Red-tailed Hawks this Thanksgiving.
Sharp-shinned Hawks, Northern Harriers and Red-shouldered hawks served as
the sumptuous sides. And for dessert: some tasty looks at a young Golden
Eagle and a young Rough-legged Hawk.

Non-raptor Observations:
Sandhill Crane (22), Horned Grebe (5), Bufflehead (4), Common Merganser
(11), American Crow (1500+), Horned Lark (35+), Pine Siskin (90+), Eastern
Bluebird (2), House Finch (4)

Predictions:
Mostly cloudy with highs in the low 30s, moderate south wind and a 50
percent chance of snow.
