Hello,
This report is on behalf of the original finder, Darlene
Deemert.
Earlier today, Darlene found a Myiarchus
flycatcher in her yard.
Initial photos look promising for Ash-throated Flycatcher. The bird flew off
with a flock of juncos and has not been seen since this afternoon. The bird was
seen near the
intersection of Hanmer Street East
and Cassandra Boulevard
in Barrie.
Please be aware that a snow squall warning
is currently in effect for the area, with a forecast of 20-30 cm of snow
accumulating overnight, and blowing snow conditions.
Directions: From the 400, exit at Bayfield Street and
proceed north to Hanmer Street East where you will turn right. The intersection
is just past the Barrie Sports Dome.
