LAUGHING GULL was the highlight of reports contributed October 16 through October 23 from the Niagara Frontier Region. October 18 and 21 in Buffalo, a LAUGHING GULL at the source of the Niagara River, observed from the Bird Island Pier and Squaw Island. In Chautauqua County, a lingering YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO, October 21, on the SUNY campus at Fredonia. Also the 21st, at a feeder in the Town of Boston, 20 species included an EASTERN TOWHEE and 56 BROWN-HEADED COWBIRDS. And, FOX SPARROWS reported at two locations this week - Krull Park, on Lake Ontario at Olcott, and Forest Lawn in Buffalo. The Bird Report will be updated Thursday evening, October 30.
