Earlier this morning, while birding Marie Curtis Park with Garth Riley, I found a Nelson's Sparrow at the park's Arsenal Lands (the large overgrown field in the centre of the park). Both of us had very good looks at the bird.
It was located in the phragmites and bulrushes along the northeast side of the larger of the two small ponds. These ponds are situated at the western side of the Arsenal lands. Marie Curtis Park is located on the south side of Lakeshore Blvd in Mississauga, just east of Dixie Road.
