Greetings! At about 11.30 a.m, there was a male Eurasian Wigeon in a flock of about 12 wigeon and a Gadwall, in the SW corner of Cobourg harbour. The birds were moving slowly N, and as they came to the S end of the beach area a person with a dog appeared and scared all the waterfowl that had been lounging there, and in the ensuing melee I lost the wigeon and could not relocate it. However, things were not too alarmed, and it's highly likely that the bird will still be around.
To reach Cobourg, use 401 exit #474 southbound. You exit on to Division St., which runs S to end in the main east pier. Go down the pier and at present viewing is best (with a 'scope) from the south end.
