Observation start time: 06:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 9 hours

Official Counter: Jenna McDermott

Observers: Bob Hall-Brooks, Carol Pitts, Chris Craft, Ed Pitts,
Jim McCoy, Patrick Tomlinson, Steve Wagner

Visitors:
A good crop of visitors arrived today, many staying for much of the day and
averaging around 15 people on the tower at any given time. Visitors ranged
throughout Ontario (Windsor, Kingsville, and Markham) as well as from
across the river, just north of Detroit. It was nice to see so much
interest today.

Weather:
There was a little bit of haze at the farthest reaches of the marsh but not
a cloud in the sky today. Winds were low and started out NW but changed
direction until they were from the SW by the end of the count.

Raptor Observations:
Not a big day for buteos today, though we saw one Broad-winged kettle at
the far north of our visibility, so they may have been passing through out
of sight. Sharp-shinned Hawks and American Kestrels were our other higher
counts. 7 species passed by with a total of 676 birds.

Non-raptor Observations:
15 non-raptor species were seen migrating today with our first 61 Blue Jays
and another exciting Common Nighthawk. 48 Monarchs. See today's eBird list
for other species seen in the marsh

Predictions:
Winds from 15-20km/h from the N and NE with temperatures rising to 20C.
