Total observation time: 10 hours

Official Counter: Jonathan Stein

Observers: Andrew Sturgess, John Elliott, Raburn Howland

Visitors:

Weather:
Tougher spotting sky today: clear blue with a thin film of distant haze. We
had some early lake fog to contend with but that quickly burned off. Later
in the day, when the broadwings were streaming through, a few high clouds
made things a little easier for us. The wind was light and mostly out of
the west.

Raptor Observations:
Another exceptional day of Broad-winged Hawk movement. In the late
afternoon, several gargantuan streams crossed directly overhead. As for
other birds, Sharp-shinned Hawks and Bald Eagles were again moving in good
numbers. Also, a low, close Merlin was a nice way to end the day.

Non-raptor Observations:
Blue Jay (60+), Red-winged Blackbird (40+), Chimney Swift (55+), Monarch
(500+)

Predictions:
Partly cloudy with moderate northeast wind.
