Raptor Observations: The volume might not have been there today but there were more than enough impact birds to make up for it. We had our best Golden Eagle outing of the fall with 15 tallied. Rough-legged Hawks continued to be seen with regularity. And Peregrine Falcon returned to the count sheet when a big female swooped in and strafed a raft of coots out over the lake. Non-raptor Observations: Not much going on non-raptor-wise. Predictions: Very much like today except with strong wind out of the south instead of the southeast. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Jonathan Stein ([email protected]) Detroit River Hawk Watch information may be found at: http://www.drhawkwatch.org _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
