Jeremy Bensette, Alan Wormington and I just found a male and female Dickcissel
together east of North Cobalt. The location is the hedgerow at the east
terminus of Proctors Road.

>From North Cobalt, take Lake View Avenue east. Turn left after the bend onto
>Proctors Road. At the end of the gravel road, park at the gate. The birds were
>along the hedgerow. I heard the birds giving their diagnostic flight calls as
>they flew in from the south. They landed in the hedgerow and Jeremy was able
>to get a photo of the female.

According to past OBRC reports, this is the 3rd documented record (1st for
autumn) for Timiskaming District.

Good birding,
