There was a Red-necked Phalarope at Shirleys Bay this morning at 9:30. It was out on the mudflat with the peeps then moved into the water. Also all the shorebirds reported by Jeff Skevington for Sep 8 are still present with perhaps one more Pectoral to make six.
Directions to Shirley¹s Bay The Shirley¹s Bay parking lot and boat launch is at the north end of Rifle Road, which is on the north side of Carling Avenue west of Moodie Drive. Shirley's Bay causeway is on Department of National Defence property, and there is often shooting going on at the Connaught Firing Range.
