Hi all, Barrie Gilbert and I sailed to Main Duck Island (eastern Lake Ontario), out on the 8th and back on the 9th of June.
Highlights on the way out (8 June) included 12 Brant and 1 male Long-tailed Duck, both far out in the middle of the lake. On the island, highlights included a pair of Carolina Wrens carrying food (near the lighthouse), one singing male Blue-winged Warbler (ne of lighthouse) and large numbers of Red-breasted (>500) and Common (>150) mergansers, good numbers of American Woodcock, and one Blackpoll and Black-throated Green warbler (both likely migrants).
