Hello birders. Today at around 3:00pm, Paul Gosselin, Jim Mc Coy and myself saw this owl while searching for Long Eared Owls, go figure. The bird was sitting on a tree branch about 10 feet off the ground, I managed to get a few photos of the bird thru the car window then it flew off. The bird was seen down Lake Erie Country Club road which is just off the main road, Essex road 50, and about a quarter mile east of holiday beach's entrance in Amherstburg.
