Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Jonathan Stein

Observers: Andrew Sturgess

Visitors:
Jim Lynch, Rodney Laura, Pat Mulawa, Steve Cashell, Karen Morris, David
Boone and a handful of others.

Weather:
The sky cleared quickly after a wet and overcast start, leaving us with
nothing but blue for the rest of the day. Temperatures were mostly in the
70s. The wind was light to moderate and out of the south and southeast.

Raptor Observations:
Not huge numbers but some good variety today highlighted by a couple young
Golden Eagles, a dark morph Rough-legged Hawk and our fourth Northern
Goshawk of the season. Raptors again rode the south wind and were crossing
well to our north.

Non-raptor Observations:
Red-winged Blackbirds (600+), Blue Jays (200+) and American Crows (1100+)
were moving, as were American Robins (20+). Of particular note was a good
flight of late October Monarchs (60+).

Predictions:
It's going to be a lot like today except higher temperatures and stronger
south wind.
