Visitors:
Long time HBMO members from Cincinnati and Zainsville, Ohio, a couple from
Mississauaga, and residents from Windsor, LaSalle, and, as one family
pointed out "Central" Essex.


Weather:
Calm winds generally less than 5 km/hr out of the south-west/south;
temperatures 15 - 24C, with partly cloudy skies all day.

Raptor Observations:
175 birds of 9 species. The majority of the birds today were Sharp-shinned
Hawks, 135/175 birds, all generally close to or right over the hawk tower.

Non-raptor Observations:
Today was the first major movement of Blue Jays with 11,926 birds. Other
notable migrants were:

American Goldfinch - 333

Chimney Swift - 27

Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 18



Predictions:
The forecast has been changing all day and it is now looking like the sun
coming out around 8 a.m and clear to partly cloudy with moderate winds out
of the south-west. Should be another good day for Sharp-shinned Hawks.
