I estimated that at least 10,000 blackbirds flew over my house this evening on 
their way to a roost to the north of me. 95% were grackles, with red-wings, 
cowbirds and starlings making up the rest. The flock has been growing daily - 
yesterday about 7500 birds (virtually all grackles in one huge flock) went over 
and the day before 4000+.

These sightings were made today from 6:35 to 6:45 p.m. near Lakeridge and Reach 
Sts.
