Weather: It was cloudy in the early morning and then cleared up before becoming cloudy again later in the day. The wind was light and mostly out of the west and southwest. Raptor Observations: A nice Bald Eagle flight today and we added another Peregrine Falcon but for the most part the skies were pretty empty, especially for this portion of the season. Non-raptor Observations: Blue Jays (2000+) were moving in the morning again. Predictions: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm tomorrow. There is an 80 percent chance of precipitation all day. The wind will be light to moderate and out of the west. Not looking too good. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Jonathan Stein ([email protected]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.drhawkwatch.org Site Description: The primary site used by the Detroit River Hawk Watch (a joint venture of the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge and it's Friends group, the International Wildlife Refuge Alliance) is the Boat Launch at Lake Erie Metropark located approximately 20 miles south of Detroit, Michigan.
