Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 6 hours

Official Counter: Jonathan Stein

Observers: Andrew Sturgess, Fred Kirn, Raburn Howland

Visitors:
Darlene Friedman, Gloria Harkness, Ron Harkness, Pete Przylbylski and a few
others stopped in.

Weather:
Overcast from the get-go, the rain started around 10:00 and lasted for
close to three hours. Progressive clearing occurred thereafter. The wind
was out of the west early and shifted all the way over to the southeast by
the end of the day.

Raptor Observations:
There was little activity after the rain.

Non-raptor Observations:
The steady rain gave us an opportunity to scour the trees around the count
site and we found a nice assortment of warblers. Present and accounted for
were American Redstart and Northern Parula as well as Nashville,
Bay-breasted, Blackpoll, Wilson's, Orange-crowned, Canada, Tennessee,
Black-throated Green, Yellow-rumped, Magnolia and Black-and-white warblers.
A Palm Warbler was spotted later in the day. Additionally, the fall's first
White-throated Sparrows were seen.

Predictions:
Partly sunny with highs in the upper 60s and strong south winds. There is a
chance of rain in the late afternoon. More strong south wind will likely
limit our numbers once again.
