Observation end time: 17:00:00
Total observation time: 8.75 hours

Official Counter: Jonathan Stein

Observers: Andrew Sturgess, Fred Kirn

Visitors:
40+

Weather:
The skies were an alternating mixture of completely overcast and partly
sunny, pouring down light rain intermittently. The wind was strong and out
of the northwest.

Raptor Observations:
Despite the rain, the overcast skies and the blustery wind, there were
plenty of Broad-winged Hawks itching to move. When the wind died down for a
couple hours in the late afternoon, the flight line shifted north and
brought some large kettles and accompanying streams within view.

Non-raptor Observations:
A nice flock of Blue-winged Teal (25+) jetted past the channel in the
morning. Blue Jays (60+) were again on the move. A Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
was heard at one point. And a Yellow-rumped Warbler could be found foraging
with Black-throated Green and Cape May warblers in our spruce during the
late afternoon.

Predictions:
Sunny with highs in the mid 60s and mostly south wind at 10-15 mph.
