Hi Birders, Hans Van der Zweep and I saw a red-necked grebe in the Casselman
Lagoons this evening at 6:30 PM. The bird was in the far right lagoon on your
way in. He still has a red neck showing some of his breeding plumage. It seems
early for this bird to appear in our area.
To get to the Lagoon, go to Casselman and take Laurin St. Go about 1 K and
you will see the entry to the Lagoons on the right.
St. Alberts Lagoons had very few shore birds left after an abundance the
last few weeks, just a few yellowlegs and least sandpipers and a couple of
