I checked out the spots mentioned by Kelly Morrisey this morning. The Detroit River had nothing mentionable, but the pond located on the Ganatchio Trail south of Wyandotte Street was very productive. I only saw one Ruddy Duck, but there were also four Buffleheads, two Pied-billed Grebes, and three Northern Shovelers on the pond. Lots of Tree Swallows cruised the pond. The nearby woods offered a singing Ruby-crowned Kinglet.
You can enter the Ganatchio Trail from the parking lot at the corner of Riverside Drive and Florence Street.
