I saw a Spotted Sandpiper today in the same location Cheryl Edgecombe had one on November 21. Actively feeding on the rocks along the shore inside the Suncor property. It was about 100 yards east of the property fence (no trespassing) .

The bird is new for Halton-Peel CBC circle. We also added new two other new species to the Circle during the count on Saturday 1 Pied-billed Grebe on Bronte Creek just north of Lakeshore Road and 75 Sandhill Crane that flew over the Streetsville GO Station at 10 am. This brings the total number species seen at a least once on the count since 1963 to 165.

Directions to the Spotted Sandpiper. Go to Lakeside Park on Lakeshore Road between Winston Churchill and Southdown. Park in the Lease-free Zone and walk east to the fenced limits of the park with the Suncor Refinery.
