Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end time: 13:15:00
Total observation time: 5.25 hours

Official Counter: Jonathan Stein

Observers: Andrew Sturgess, Don Sherwood, Rodney Laura

Visitors:
Jim Maki dropped by before the rain.

Weather:
There was heavy cloud cover all day. Around 2 pm, it started to rain. The
southwest winds were mostly manageable but some occasional strong gusts
kept us on our toes.

Raptor Observations:
Not much movement today.

Non-raptor Observations:
Red-breasted mergansers are starting to be seen with increasing frequency.
More than 25 flew by today. A common loon was floating on the lake in the
early afternoon. Later, six black-crowned night herons flew over the
channel.

Predictions:
Partly sunny with a 20 percent chance of light showers in the morning.
Additional clearing appears to be a possibility in the afternoon.
Temperatures mainly in the upper 40s. Moderate to strong winds will be out
of the northwest to start the day and then out of the north later.
Hopefully, the rain stays away and the wind isn't too strong.
