The 206 acre Bluebird Ranch at the corner of McNamee and Wylie Roads behind the Carden Important Bird Area sign is for sale. This critical area needs protection. It is home to many grassland specialties. Here in 2006 Ontbirders saw and heard a Henslows Sparrow. Birders realize how important this property is because it welcomes us to Wylie Road and borders the Windmill Ranch to the north, protecting a large block of alvar habitat for birds.
