I thought I would head out to Ashbridges and catch a fallout between the rain showers. My first 30 minutes were not overly productive - found a black-throated blue that gave me some great looks, along with an ovenbird.
I decided to wander towards the lake side of the park and stumbled upon a fallout. saw 2-3 magnolia warblers (all at eye level), some other warblers that I will ID later via my pictures (sorry, no time now) and two Blackburnian warblers about 10 feet up in a small tree, giving great looks as it fed. Fog moved in a little more and I decided to head home. Warblers were moving around the outer "peninsula" of the park. I should also note that I didn't spot any tanagers today. Ashbridges Bay is located where Coxwell Ave runs into Lake Ontario (south of Lakeshore) _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
