Chimney Swifts in Lindsay

Just spent 4 hours on Kent St. as part of the Lindsay & District Horticulture Society Spring Plant Sale, so I had time to try and photograph the the flying buzz bombs. A long lens on a high mounted tripod drew many curious people to inquire as to what I was trying to photograph.

We had four birds (appeared to be 2 pair) for over three hours. They were airborne at multi levels of aerobatic flights, which supplied the watchers with new interest and questions to us about the Chimney Swifts.

It also allowed us the opportunity to educate them of the ongoing work of EcoStewards, to restore and/or create new habitat, like the three new towers that we are presently building in Omemee,
