There were 10 Greater Yellowlegs in the flooded field adjacent to Big
Creek on the 6th Conc. just west of Walsingham late this afternoon.
They aren't there currently & the water level is still rising after all
the rain/snow showers yesterday. Once the water level goes down a bit
I expect they will return. Also in the flooded field are green winged
teal, ring necked ducks, a bufflehead, mallards, wood ducks & black
ducks. Hooded Mergansers are often in the field early in the morning.
Walsingham is on Highway #59 about 15 kms. north of Long Point. The
6th Conc. intersects the Village.
