This a preliminary report for the 48th Peel-Halton Counties CBC (ONPH) sponsored by the South Peel Naturalists' Club. The count circle is located in the Oakville and Mississauga between Bronte and Port Credit. Northern limit barely reaches Derry Road.

With 5 of 6 districts reporting numbers of birds and species seem below average with no major rarities. Better birds included a bright Rusty Blackbird at Rattray Marsh, a Snow Goose at Bronte, a Fox Sparrow in tangles at the east end of Blyth Road (off Dalton and Mississauga Road) and an Eastern Towhee along the hydro corridor east of Indian Road at Birchview Drive. Owl species appear to be up over recent years with 4 species recorded.
