A beautiful day at the shores of lake Huron . Started at the Grand Bend lagoons
on Mollard Line east of the village. 2 yellowlegs in the lagoons . Looking up
we saw a flock of about 3 dozen Tundra swans fly over. On the road back to the
highway, a Northern shrike sitting on a cornstalk. Long tailed duck in the
river at Grand Bend. Port Franks had cormerants and common mergansers in the
Cut and the usual suspects at feeders in the area. Kettle Point had lots of red
breasted Mergansers and a possible Loon. On the way home we stopped at Thedford
lagoons and saw a lot of Hooded Mergansers and Northern Shovellers as well as a
Harrier over the fields nearby. A great day with great friends in a great
activity. Wonderful !
