Weather: Starting off partly cloudy becoming overcast in the afternoon with a high of 6C. Winds were a steady 15-18 km/hr out of the NW. Raptor Observations: An on and off day with slow periods, although many of the Red-tails were low in the high winds giving nice views. All 7 Rough-legs (light) passed through in the morning, while the (ad. female) N. Goshawk blasted by at tree top level for spectacular looks during the 10:00 DST hour. The Golden Eagle (sub-ad.) lumbered through low over the marsh at 10:28 and was briefly intercepted by the local ad. female Bald Eagle before continuing west along the shoreline. Non-raptor Observations: Nothing too notable: 11 Bonaparte's Gull, Wilson's Snipe, 11 Canvasback, 14 Black-capped Chickadee, 370 C. Grackle, 42 Rusty Blackbird, and 37 Am. Goldfinch. Predictions: Starting off mostly cloudy and clearing late in the morning with a high of 7C. Winds NW 20 km/hr becoming light in the afternoon.
