Observation start time: 09:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 6 hours

Official Counter: Jim Dunn

Observers: Eric Jeffery, Mary Carnahan, Tom Stewart

Weather:
Sun early but soon closed in with heavy dark clouds and dropping
temp.Another crappy weather day but a bit better bird day. winds were light
from the N and NW and the temp got to a high of 15C.

Raptor Observations:
A bit btter flight today with a total of 259 birds. Not a bad number of
Redtails (184) and highlights were a couple more Goshawks and a couple more
Golden Eagles.

Non-raptor Observations:
A bit of sun this morning brought out a lot of the usual weed-patch
foragers including TUFTED TITMOUSE again today. There is still quite a mob
of NORTHERN CARDINALS. At least a dozen were foraging in the same patch
right at the cliff. FOX SPARROW also put in an appearance along with TREE,
WHITE-THROAT, & CHIPPING. A few EASTERN BLUEBIRDS were seen and heard at
the Cliff and the B&B today. These birds were not migrating (at least not
today) so there is hope we will have overwintering bluebirds in the
vicinity of Hawk Cliff as we have for at least the past 4 years.

Predictions:
Another tough weather day predicted for Friday...with possible rain or
snow...though winds are supposed to be out of the N.
