NW winds and good thermals on Sep.15 brought in over 1700 migrating Broad-winged Hawks over the CMRW platform in sw Whitby. Counting kept everyone alert, as many of the 2208 raptors were high-flying & coming in on several fronts. Most of the Broad-wingeds flew over in the afternoon hours.
