NW winds and good thermals on Sep.15 brought in over 1700 migrating
Broad-winged Hawks over the CMRW platform in sw Whitby. Counting kept
everyone alert, as many of the 2208 raptors were high-flying & coming
in on several fronts. Most of the Broad-wingeds flew over in the
afternoon hours.

The table below shows the migrating raptors over CMRW on Sep.15 AND
the totals since Aug.23:

I thank the counters and the many observers for their great work
during a time period when I am able
to get there when picked up, and can not stay for over 3 hours.
Starting Sep.27 I will be living near the
corner of Rossland and Cochrane in N.Whitby. (cell-ph.905-409-6935)
for perhaps 1 month.

For the hawk watch--on Victoria St., 1 block east of Lakeridge Rd. is
Hall's Rd.--south towafrd the lake,
parking in the second roadside parking area.
