Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Rob Payne

Observers: Greg Norwood, Jim Lynch, John Elliott, Rodney Laura

Visitors:
Visitor numbers have increased with the favorable weather. We even had more
visitors than volunteers at one point mid-day.

Weather:
Blessed with moderate winds from the east today. Temperatures where mild if
not a little chilly, fall sneaked up on us. Clear start to the day with
light clouds building as the day progressed.

Raptor Observations:
Much better weather conditions helped increase the number of migrants. 50
individuals where counted of 8 species.

Non-raptor Observations:
Good day for non-raptor migrants. The wind shift allowed more birds to
cross over from Canada. A Yellow-bellied Sapsucker was seen flying over the
count site. A single female Black-throated Blue Warbler made an appearance
at The Spruce tree. A fly by American Bittern was a very nice surprise
being the first heron of the day.

Predictions:
Winds from the south east will continue to push raptors out of Canada, and
hopefully to where we are. Rain is predicted to come from the west in the
afternoon.
