Sorry for the late report. I went to Hillman Marsh last Saturday afternoon. I did not go in but I stopped on the roadside just before the bridge. There were 47 Great Egrets (mainly on the north side of the road), many Great Blue Herons and many shorebirds, including Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs. Many peeps were around but I was not able to identify them. A couple of the Great Egrets were marked; one with a red band on its upper left leg (109, I think) and another with both wings tagged with large orange tags marked IOE. With the wind, it was very difficult to read the tags/bands. Good birding. Janet
