I've been informed that the neighbours of where the photo was taken, are sure 
that the albino is a young bird too.

In the meantime I know the address of where the photo was taken, but I'm 
hesitating to disclose it on the email group as it might attract collectors? 
(In Holland we are increasingly aware of this, alas). However, I did give the 
address to a well-known local birder of Long Point.

  a friend of mine just returned from Canada and showed me photos of a 100% 
white American Robin she had seen on Long Point, Ontario:

  I presume it is a true albino, although 100% leucistic is possible also.
  Remarkably, the bird seems to have raised young.
  The photo has been taken on 2 July 2010.

  Is this a rare case? Is it known?

  I am awaiting more location details, they are contacting their Canadian 
relatives about that. But maybe it's not that rare at all?
