hello, a friend of mine just returned from Canada and showed me photos of a 100% white American Robin she had seen on Long Point, Ontario: http://www.jvanderw.nl/misc/WhiteRobinCanadaCrop1_2010-06%20946.jpg
I presume it is a true albino, although 100% leucistic is possible also. Remarkably, the bird seems to have raised young. The photo has been taken on 2 July 2010. Is this a rare case? Is it known? I am awaiting more location details, they are contacting their Canadian relatives about that. But maybe it's not that rare at all?
