Hello Birders!

It's been another damp morning at the park - fortunately it's nice and warm
this weekend!

By far, the most exciting bird of the morning was another Kirtland's
Warbler, this time found on the West Beach footpath, near the trail to the
half-way point.

Whimbrel (2) were seen flying by the Tip this morning. The Mourning
Warbler continued to be seen, this time along the West trail at the Tip.
Blackpoll Warblers were present in good numbers and Black-throated Green
Warbler was observed again today, as well as Magnolia, and Tennessee. A
White-eyed Vireo was active at the Tip transit stop today. Large groups of
Cedar Waxwings have moved into the area in the last few days and are being
viewed at the Tip. As has been the case for last two weeks, Orioles, of
both varieties have been very active in the park and are very easy to see.

A Common Nighthawk was noted flying over the VC parking lot. We have had
no reports today of the Dickcissel or American White Pelicans.

The Red-necked Phalarope (2) are still being seen in the onion fields north
of the park - today they were noted at the corner of Concession E and
Mersea Road 19.

Good birding everyone!
Sarah
