Greetings: This afternoon at 3:00PM Tiny and I met with Jim Phillips, P.Eng
Municipality of Brighton.
This report comes on behalf of Tiny and I.
The "permit request report" presented to Mr. Phillips was accepted as
presented.
Tiny and I will be presenting the request for a permit system to
"Council of the Whole" Monday, December 14, 2009 at 6:30PM.
35 Alice Street, Brighton.
During our meeting a number of issues were brought forth.
Besides the request for a permit the following will be proposed by Mr. Phillips:
- Access gate to the wetland near the current platform outside the wetland
(this area has parking available off the road and the current parking area
could be expanded if needed),
- Constructing of a platform on the south side of the south cell,
at least 1.5metres above the ground to facilitate viewing. This platform would
be similar
to the current viewing platform only larger.
- The wetland and south platform should be "wheelchair" accessible.
- A $5.00 fee per person per permit.
- Signage from the 401 to assist people in finding the wetland.
All this should coincide with celebrations for the 10th Anniversary
of the Brighton Constructed Wetland
Most sincerely
Maureen Campeau and Keith (Tiny) Lee
