Yesterday on a Bruce Birding Club outing about 85 speices were found. Most were seen or heard at the kincardine cemetery and lagoon site. An EARED GREBE in full breeding plumage was seen fairly close up..Also of note was a MOCKINGBIRD(hard to find in bruce county) and GRASSHOPPER SPARROW.Today the EARED GREBE is still present and a HOODED WARBLER is singing on the rail trail. Directions;Kincardine is where highway 21 and 9 meet on the shores of lake huron.Turn west off highway 21 on to Bruce Ave.(the most southerly street in kincardine).About a kilometer along enter the cemetery . Proceed to the back and park near the composting area. The mocking bird is often on a tomestone near here ,grasshopper sparrow to the west near satelite dishes , hooded warbler along the rail trail just after bridge. There are two cells to the lagoons both can be accessed from the rail trail.Good Birding James Turland _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
