Mourning Warbler-Singing loudly at marker '600' on marsh trail below MacEwan House. Olive-sided Flycatcher-beside the MacEwan Barn, adjacent to main parking lot, in tallest evergreen. Yellow-throated Vireo- singing in mature Maple climax forest, up Chappelle creek ( 50 m from main trail with wooden bridge) Great-horned Owl- will not divulge location, but listen for annoying/harassing American Crows. ********************************* the Toronto Ornithological Club sponsors a FREE bird walk to the Toronto Island tomorrow ( Monday May 18th). Vireos: Yellow-throated, Red-eyed, Blue-headed, Warbling Flycatchers- Olive-sided, Willow, Great-crested, Eastern Wood-pewee, Eastern Phoebe. Woodpeckers: Pileated, Hairy,Downy, Flicker, YB Sapsucker Thrushes: Wood, Veery, Swainson's Sparrows: Lincoln, Swamp, White-crowned, White-throated, Song, Chipping, Savannah, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, RB Grosbeaks, Scarlet Tanagers, Indigo Buntings, E. Go south on Mavis Road to Burnhamthorpe Road West and turn right. ? Take Burnhamthorpe Road to the traffic lights at intersection with The Credit Woodlands (south of Burnhamthorpe) and Riverwood Park Lane (north of Burnhamthorpe).? ? Turn north onto Riverwood Park Lane. Park in the Main Parking lot, at your left. Walk past Visual Arts Centre and MacEwen House ( OS Flycatcher). Walk down main path to River.Stay right on the path.?At?marker "600" Mourning Warbler.
